2010 Winner Announced

OK – We’ve started this in January and tonight is the night - and Simons last night on the show!

Yep – just as I predicted – same ole – same ole for Mr. Versatility! I cannot imagine wearing the same thing all the time . . . . but then again I am just a little high maintenance.

Is it just me or did both Lee and Crystal look like preppies on crack? Lee red jacket , white shirt, black tie, black pants – Crystal red jacket, plaid red skirt white shirt – looked like fashion mishaps from a private school.

OK – OK When they did the top 12 song – ‘Schools Out’ – I got while they were dressed like that – those back up singers were kinda creepy. Good ole Alice Cooper! Whoa – That brings back memories – well, at least the ones I can remember anyway. SWEET!

Up next – Chris Allen – ‘The Truth’ – dressed in all black with a gray tee under his shirt – I could rock that – and have. They forgot to cut Ryan’s mike off when he started you could hear him talking over the song. Not to sure about the song – will have to listen to it a couple of more times.

Wow – The Bee Gees – (paired with Soybean and Aaron) - so sad that the brother died. Seeing them made me wanna pull out my white suit and black shirt! Soybean actually looked more on the normal side tonight. Hmmmmm.

After the commercials Michael starts singing The Doobie Brothers – ‘Taking It To The Streets’ – of course he murdered it! And then comes out Michael McDonald! I’m surprised he didn’t punch Michael out for messin wid his song!

Lacey – She looked hot! DiDi looked hot – Katie looked hot! Soybean changed and she looked hot! All the girls were singing ‘Beautiful’ - That was a HOT segment! And got hotter when they brought out Christina to join them! Now she looked smoking! Black short jumpsuit with the rhinestones on the legs – catch me – I’m fallin!

Next segment – Lee starts with Hall and Oats ‘I can’t Go For That’ and the other top guys fall in – it was OK (until Michael joined in and it fell apart). Man – that choreography sure sucked! Good ole Hall and Oats! OK – I get the theme now – they start out singing the song and the original artist come on – Got it! (I should have gotten that a lot sooner). Must be retro night.

Crystal – ‘Isn’t it Ironic’ – She did awesome as usual. Alanis Morissette – she looked great!

Carrie Underwood – ‘Un Do It’ - Man – these girls are SMOKIN tonight! She gets better lookin each time she takes the stage (still has the stepford wife eyes though but I’m pretty much over that) – Black shirt with a smoking silver short jacket and black tight – TIGHT - leather pants – awesome boots – love the song – love the look – I just turned the air down in my house – it’s hot in here!

So Ford gave Crystal and Lee the Ford Fiesta that they designed – A Ford Fiesta! Really?!?

Next segment – Casey starts off with ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn’ and out comes Bret Michaels! He just won the apprentice – dude got it going on. I know he’s got some health issues but you’d never know it. You go man!

Lee sings with Chicago next – He didn’t start off to good on that – Never was a huge fan of Chicago – (I think it’s all the horns – hmmmm – I need to ask my therapist about this) – They sounded kinda off to me – but hey, they’re still kickin! So, Kick on! Custard!

Next we got the ‘Pants on Da Ground’ dude – PA-LEESE – Must we go here again! And joining him is William Hung – Now there’s three minutes of my life that I’ll never get back!

And there’s Paula! She looked fantastic! (And then she spoke) - When she asked Ryan for her lip gloss back – I rolled!

Kelly Clarkson – She went blond and short, Rueben lost more weight, Fantasia gained weight – Carrie – looks awesome – Jordin – lost weight, loved the long hair – Taylor – sucks – Kris Allen – looked his usual – Where the hell was David Cook?!? He must be on tour or something and couldn’t get out of it. They sang ‘Together We Are One’ and then brought out a lot of the past contestants – that was an awesome segment – loved it! Simon was real emotional when he talked . . . . Really am going to miss the guy.

WOW! – Janet Jackson – she looked phenomenal! Love the short hair – Totally works for her! The long black dress with the bright red lining on the sleeves and train was so her. Love her. Didn’t take her long to strip outta that dress for the next number – 'Nasty Boys' - I love to watch her move. Them dudes she had on stage with her need to hit the gym – if you’re gonna show it – develop it first!

Lee and Crystal sing ‘A Little Help From My Friends’ and they did good on it. And low and behold it’s Joe Cocker! Yeah the dude has aged (haven’t we all) but he has still got it! Awesome voice! Does your heart good!

And after all the fluff – we’re down to the big announcement – according to Ryan only 2% separated the two. And the winner is . . . . Lee DeWyze. I’m OK with this – would have loved to see Crystal take it but I’m good with him to. I’ll buy a CD from Crystal over Lee but they will both be fine. Probably will work out better for Crystal so she can make her own type of music – Lee is under the Idol contract now and will have to sing what they tell him. It’s all good. Happy for both of them!

Damn good show – the finale shows are always good – love seeing the original artist back on the stage.

So here’s the history . . . . .

Season 1 – Kelly Clarkson
Season 2 – Rueben Studdard
Season 3 – Fantasia Barrino
Season 4 – Carrie Underwood
Season 5 – Taylor Hicks (The true version of an idol one night stand – his contract was dropped faster than Ruebens!)
Season 6 – Jordin Sparks
Season 7 – David Cook
Season 8 – Kris Allen
Season 9 - Lee DeWyze

My reign as President has come to an end for another year. I still get to keep the Secret Service People around me though until next year and then I'll get a new crew. We’ll see who they get to replace Simon – surely won’t be the same without him. Now gotta figure out what to do with my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings free – I KNOW! – More gym time – NOW I can get myself in shape!

You are true ART fans and I appreciate each and every one of you! May you all stay healthy and happy and keep listening to the music!

Until next year . . . .

Lee Vs Crystal . . . . 05/25/10

I wonder if Ryan is going to wear that same suit for the finale tomorrow night . . . . I’m guessing yes . . . .

And the final two face off . . . . Both came from Chicago auditions and both are 24. Cool.

First Round – Song choice from Inspirational week.

Lee – ‘The Boxer’ - Black jacket, black sweater kinda thing, white tee, black jeans – again his norm but it’s still working for him. He did better the first time he sang this song. To me it was good the first time and OK this time. He did his usual good job but agree with Randy that it was . . . just nice . . . . And agree with Simon – was like a kiss on the cheek when you wanted a big ole wet one (I added the 'wanted a big ole wet one') - Ellen is so full of it – she said he did better this time – ah, no.

Crystal – ‘Me And Bobby McGee’ – Black long light coat over a gray dress – it looked sweet! I am so glad she decided to do this one again. I loved it the first time she sang it and fell in love with it again the second time! She totally nailed it again. Yep – it was dope! She just shined – you could just feel her through the TV. Loved it!

Round One – Totally goes to Crystal.

Round Two - Executive Producers Choice

Lee – ‘Everybody Hurts’ – Cool brown suede jacket – white tee and black jeans – loved the jacket. Ah-rite – this dude totally blew everything he sang outta the water last week but this week not so much. He’s doing his normal Lee but after last week I was expecting more. Yeah, it was a good song choice for him but, agree with Simon – his nerves are showing tonight. I’m giving that one a . . . . OK . . . . just like the last one he did.

Crystal – ‘Black Velvet’ – Black tight frock with the mermaid short bottom – it wasn’t to bad. DAMN! She nailed that one too! Vocals were totally sweet! Loved the high notes! She is (yes I said it before) but she is shining tonight – she’s having a blast and you can tell it and I’m having a blast with her. Awesome job!

Round Two – Goes to Crystal again.

Round Three – The new Idol Song to be released by the winner (no original song this year huh? Well, times are tough – who can afford to pay a song writer? I mean they can’t afford a new suit for Ryan!)

Lee – ‘Beautiful Day’ – Black leather jacket, gray pullover, gray tee, black jeans – all of it was OK. That was better than the first two but not by much. He livened up more in the middle than anyplace else but sorry Lee fans he just didn’t bring it in my opinion like he did last week. Would I buy that if he releases it? – that would be a no - Going with another OK but I’m being lenient because I have had an amazing day!

Crystal – ‘Up To the Mountain’ – Black one shoulder shirt with a big ole silver shiny jeweled thing holdin it up and black tight pants – awesome boots - It was cool. This girl is hitting notes tonight that I have not heard her hit before and OMG she hit every damn one of um! That was unbelievable. It just totally amazes the hell out of me how someone can just open their mouth and the talent just rolls out – I have some good friends that are talented like this (Yes Janeen I’m talking about you) and it just completely blows me away. The only thing that comes outta my mouth is pretty much . . . . Well, those of you who know me know the answer to that one. . . . but Crystal totally gave that her all and you could tell she wants this bad! That was amazing!

Round Three – Crystal again.

All right my ART’ies – If it goes off of tonight then Crystal should take it – but who knows - both of them are awesome so flip a coin and crown the winner. Tomorrow night the two hour finale . . . . yes, two hours . . . . Looks like with all the freakin ad time they sell they COULD afford a song writer and a new suit for Ryan. I think somebody is stuffin their own cookie jar . . . .

Talk to ya'll tomorrow

Top two announced

Ryan – I cannot imagine going through life living in a black and white no color world . . . . That’s really kinda sad.

I like these shows where they go back to their home states. Grab the hankies . . . .

Casey – Back to Texas – OK, him going back to the hospital and thanking the doctors and nurses that put him back together after his accident was way cool.

Perez Hilton – oh please, I can’t believe it’s still around – what a piece of work.

Travis Garland – Never heard of him but after watching his performance I’m guessing he’s the latest and greatest up and coming comedy act. Did you see his vest – had what looked like a friggin bungee cord pulling it together in the back – now that’s class! I know everybody has their 15 minutes of fame – well, this dude just used up about 4 minutes of his . . . . Whoops!

Crystal – back to Toledo – She had a huge crowd and I loved the parade they did and she was handing out flowers from the car – that’s so sixties! I saw this in pictures – didn’t actually live it – I am NOT that old.

Lee – back to Chicago – He got to throw out the first pitch at the Cubs game – that’s pretty sweet. His whole homecoming was a Hallmark movie. Did you see his dad singing along with him on the side of the stage when he was performing? – If that don’t touch your heart – you ain’t real.

Justin Bieher (or however you spell it) – Now I get it! (Sometimes I’m a little slow to catch on – it’s teeny bopper night on idol). Saw him on a talk show and dude totally has a tude. Let’s just see how far he makes it after his voice changes.

Out of all of them damn commercials – the only one I heard was that Old Navy has all flip flops for on dollar this Saturday.

After all of the usual ‘idol fill’ – Mr. Sunshine announces that it’s Crystal and Lee in the finale – Casey is back to Texas. Yep – called that one – and I believe as I said yesterday – this has been pretty much the expected outcome from day one.

Next week people – Next week!

Top 3 - Lee Rocks the house!

Ryan – ya know I bet if somebody brought him something with color to wear – he’d run screaming out the door like Miss Muffet – only his voice would be a lot higher . . . .

OK – they each sing two songs – one is their pick and the other is the judges pick – same ole – same ole – as every year.

Their pick -

Casey - ‘OK, Its All Right With Me’ – Gray suit coat, print shirt, jeans – all kinda cool. Not bad. OK is it just me or did the band not kick in when it was suppose to when the song started? Don’t know if that made a big difference or not but . . . . That was not all right with me. Sorry Casey fans – that was boring, didn’t get it – didn’t feel it. I’ve never heard this song before or if I have I sure as hell don’t remember it and don’t care to hear it again. He has climbed the mountain – now he’s headed back down – real fast.

Crystal - ‘Come To My Window’ – Long black shirt – really cool shirt, gray pants – yep – looked good on her. She a be a playin da harmonica and the ge-tar! Sweet. Ah-right – I was confused with the way she started off the song – love the song – it sounded like she started in the middle of it. I didn’t care for the arrangement but the vocals were dead on . . . . as usual with her. She once again performed the song the way she wanted to and stayed true to herself – love this chick! I wanted her to sing ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’ – Joplin style – I bet she could blow that over the moon! (I bet Janeen could too!)

Lee – ‘Simple Man’ – He has worn that gray leather jacket before – but, it’s a cool jacket so I’ll go easy on the boy – black tee – shoulda been v-neck and black jeans – it all worked for him. EXCELLENT song choice, love the raspy voice this guy has and it fit that song perfectly – Freakin awesome job – cut it, put it to CD and sell it – I’ll buy it! Dude totally cooked that up and served it with gravy!

Round One – Lee all the way.

Judges Choice –

Casey - ‘Daughters’ – Brown print shirt – shirt was cool and if it was tapered properly would totally look awesome on me – and black jeans. Once again – sorry Casey fans but you ain’t gonna like this one either – Agree with these statements made – Boring, Lazy and Limp (which to me, limp is a 4 letter word). Of course Kara (who totally got on my nerves more than usual tonight) loved it because she picked it and in all honesty didn’t think it was a terrible song choice for him – he just didn’t do anything with it. I believe that Casey has played his last inning – go sit in the dugout son, we’ll call you when the game is over – which should be real soon for you.

Crystal – ‘Baby, I’m Amazed’ – All black – cool tight black shirt, tight black pants and kickin hip boots! You go Mama! Only one word for that one – DAMN! That was totally amazing – vocals once again were spot on. Like the song that Lee sang earlier – cut it – put it to CD – I’ll buy it. (Yeah I know I can download the things from i-tunes but Ryan says it all the time so if he wants it done – I ain’t doing it just for spite!) Ellen picked this one – only thing she’s done that I liked since she’s been on this show. Damn good job!

Lee - ‘Hallelujah’ – White shirt, black tie, black jeans – it’s a staple for him but it’s still working. Simon picked this song for him and when I heard what he was going to be singing it I was like ‘Not sure how he’s going to do on this one’ – I love this song – totally love this song and everybody has done it but nothing will ever compare to the Jeff Buckley version in my opinion (which on May 29th will be the anniversary of his death in 1997 of accidental drowning – so sad) – but OMG! – Lee did a phenomenal – absolutely phenomenal job! Totally freakin nailed it – unbelievable – I may go against my own spite and download that from i-tunes and just not tell anybody. Yep – one of the judges said it but I can’t remember which one – Lee did own the entire night. He sang each song like he meant it and with passion. Dude is amazing!

Round two - Totally Lee all the way.

I have been putting Crystal at the top each week but I totally did a complete 360 and Lee is da man! Casey, its back to Texas for you – now you can take some time, hit the gym and work on that bird chest you got going on.

It should be totally evident on tonight’s results – Casey should go and it be a Lee/Crystal show down which is what I believe we all pretty much figured out from the beginning.

Down to the wire people . . . . .

Down to the Top 3

Ryan – Seriously man – Get another suit!

Fantasia – He hair was kickin – thought her hair was cool. Could that outfit have been any tighter on her. How did she breath? The camera angle they had on her made her look 7 feet tall. The song was OK, just OK – I’m not a fan of talking in the middle of a song – sing the song- don’t talk it!

So Mr. Black Suit brings um all four to the center of the stage does his little number and announces that Casey is safe and in the final 3. As soon as he did this – my heart started racin – Maybe, just maybe this will be the week that Mike finally takes that hat with him wherever he’s going!

Daughtry – September – Seen this guy in concert several times and he always puts on an awesome show. My fave was when he performed with Bon Jovi in Atlanta and they sang together. Totally awesome.

After round two of the nail biting drama – Mr. No Frills announces that Lee is safe and in the final 3 leaving Mike and Crystal in the bottom two – this was totally for dramatic purposes – no way was Crystal in the bottom. Once again my heart was going at lightning speed – can it be real? Could it really be happening? No way would they send Crystal home – if they did – several people that I was talking to at this time had all agreed to strike against the show and I had agreed to make the signs!

Bon Jovi – Love, Love, Love these guys – have seen them in concert several times as well and will definitely see them again! They are just unbelievable! Oh, the leather shirt that Jon had on – I will have it – I could sooooo rock that shirt!

So after all the frills to expand the show so the marketing people can be happy Mr. Excitement finally announces that Crystal is safe and Mike is going home. Finally, things are right in my world . . . . Now he can go back to where he came from and take that ugly azz hat wid him!

So we have our final 3, Crystal, Lee and Casey. Couple more weeks and the winner will be revealed. Next week they will probably do three songs each. One they pick, one the judges pick and their pick if they do like they normally do.

So another week down my fellow ART’ies!

Ya’ll have an awesome weekend – I see boating and sunning in my future with my good friends Jack, Jim and Jose . . . .

Top 4 - Songs of the Cinema - 05/11/10

Ryan – I do believe I am experiencing déjà view – I swear I have seen that suit before . . . .

Tonight we got songs from the cinema with LaWanda Fox as the mentor. Our maid always told us when we were little that if you didn’t have anything nice to say about someone – then don’t say anything at all – and Miss Florence (who I STILL miss to this day) was correct – The dude isn’t even worth an insult. Again – listen to him and his ‘views’ and form your own opinion.

And we’re off . . . .

Lee – solo performance – ‘Kiss From A Rose’ – Gray plaid shirt – Gray jeans – all to bland for me – however; plaid is back people and it looks like I’m going to have to break down and buy me some – maybe it will make me look taller. This was the first performance by Lee that I was like – ‘Dude, What the hell happened man? That started off bad – stayed bad in the middle and ended on a bad note. Flat, off key, pick a musical tragedy and it was pretty much in there. Dude was totally off his game on that first one. Where’d my boi go?

Mike – solo performance – ‘Will You Be There?’ - Free Willy song? – Really?!? – Seriously?!? – Song about a whale? – Really?!? – Seriously?!? – OK, get ticked if ya’ll want to but how appropriate for him to pick a song about a whale since he is as freakin big as one – Ah come on – you were thinking the same damn thing – I just said it! Perhaps he needs to rethink this personal training. Did he honestly think that people were not going to put the whale / Mike connection to this song? This whole thing can be summed up as follows – slow song, all black, flat line, same, same, same . . . . . Please give him his parting gifts and send him on his way!

Lee/Crystal – First Duet – ‘Falling Slowly’ – Crystal had on a black long shirt and tight leggings and Lee has on a cool brown leather jacket, black shirt and jeans – they looked pretty much their normal. The first two solo performances didn’t show me much but this duet with these two did. Clearly Crystal carried most of that song and Lee did totally better on this than he did with that first thing. Their harmonies together were not bad at all and I went OK, OK, this is gonna work. I have never heard this song before or if I have my dementia has wiped it outta my mind but I liked it – good job by both.

Casey – solo performance – ‘Mrs. Robinson’ (Really Casey – out of all the stuff out there you choose this one – you really are into the older woman thing ain’t ya bro – not that there is anything wrong with that – just don’t need to advertise it so much my man – they’ll come to you – believe me). He had on a cool blue jacket, white t and jeans – a step away from his norm so he gets a big ole ‘Sweet! . . . . bout time. He did OK on that one but it was just to laid back and ho hum. He could spiced that up some more.

Crystal – solo performance – ‘I’m All Right’ – Black dress with shoulders out, cool boots – pretty cool – this is the second time we have seen her legs. She totally made that song her own – took it in a whole new different direction and put her Crystal spin on it. I agree with Ellen – she made the song better. She is a true artist and is just amazing. Another stellar performance.

Side note – Did ya’ll see her boyfriend? Totally not what I imagined.

Casey/Mike – duet – ‘Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?’ – Casey – all black, Mike – all black – worked for Casey – not so much for Mike. OK, OK, I’ll give props when they are due and they both sounded good on that one especially when they sang together. It surprised me – well not really cause it was another slow song and this is all Mike can do.

The duets were better than the solo’s tonight. Not even gonna take a stab at who’s going home – We all know who I want gone.

We’ll see.

Elimination Night - Down to 4 - 05/05/10

Ryan – Yep – there’s the dork – nuff said

The Sinatra melody was OK – a non blower fer me.

We got Songs on the Cinema next week with (It makes my wrist hurt to even type this guys name) Jamie Foxx. OK all you new comers – Don’t know if you have ever seen this guy interviewed – but watch um and then form your own opinion – that’s how I formed mine.

Quick note – Did ya’ll notice when they were doing the segment on where they were served breakfast every morning – Yeah – that’s just what Mike needs – ONE MORE BREAKFAST BURRITO!

Mr. Personality brings Lee to the center and after a long drama filled moment announces that he’s safe – Oh here it comes – they do this every year – now they’ll put the other 4 in groups of two and ask Lee to choose. We’re over this one people. Remember what happened to Taylor! Ya know, Taylor – they gray haired guy that actually chose – the poster boy for an idol one night stand.

Lady Ga Ga – Love the song – Alejandro - they play it in bars all the time. She never ceases to amaze me with what she has on. I just wonder what she’s on when she comes up with this stuff. Looked like a grim reaper for bee keepers.

Yep – they split them in groups of two Crystal and Casey and then Mike and Aaron. And as expected Lee was asked to choose and of course he didn’t – smart move there Lee. He evidently remembered the Taylor incident. It’s Crystal and Casey that are safe and Mike and Aaron are in the bottom two with Aaron taking his final bow. Damn it! I’d rather hear him sing again than Mike!

Oh well – I must endure yet another slow performance by this 'personal trainer'. This will not deter me – I will push on!

Another week down and we’re even closer to the finale. I hope you guys have an awesome rest of the week and an even more ‘awesomer’ weekend.

I of course have made my plans and I’ll leave you with this little poem that will enlighten you as to my whereabouts . . . . (Yes, for my FB friends – you will see this again . . . .)

Twinkle, Twikle, Little Star
Take me to the nearest bar
I wish I may
I wish I might
Have a LOT to drink tonight.

Oh and there’s this one . . . . .

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue
May I drink so much
That there’s three of you.

Sinatra Night - 05/04/10

Sorry this is late today – bad allergy attack and my face had swollen up so bad that you could hardly see my eyes – my eyes actually looked slanted – made me look like I could whip you up an egg roll in two shakes! Have no clue what triggered this guy – only thing in the air today is a bunch of freakin fog – so foggy here you can’t see your mailbox at the end of your driveway. Eyes are back to normal – feeling better and ready to take on the world!

Ryan – I cannot imagine how it would be to go through life having to wear the same thing over and over and over and over. That would be pure hell for me. Maybe that’s it – he made a deal with the ‘Big D’. In order to get the 45 million he has to wear the same suit for the rest of his life . . . . For that kind of money I think I could endure that hell . . . . Nah, no way – you people know me to well.

As Harry said in Independence Day – ‘Let’s kick the tires and lights some fires!’ Best line in the whole movie. You know, they were all sitting in the room being briefed on the aliens and how to shoot um down . . . . Little did they know they had awesome force fields . . . . Really – How old am I?

Sinatra night and Tina and Nancy are in the audience to present Simon with one of Frank’s monogrammed handkerchief’s – now that was cool. Just one question for Nancy – Where’s the bike, chick?

Aaron – ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ – Greenish/gray vest (real cool vest) – gray shirt, black tie, black pants. This looked pretty good – The vest on me though would be totally awesome! He had his hair kinda slicked back or tamer tonight – like it better the other way. OK, since he is a crooner I kinda figured he’d do pretty well on this one and he did. I thought the song fit him, it’s his genre, and it’s his mode. Would I run right out and buy his recording of this or download from i-tunes – that would be a resounding NO. However, he didn’t do to bad.

Casey – ‘Blue Skies’ – Light purple shirt (have it) – gray vest (got it) – gray slacks – (yep, got those to) – so If I wear it, we all know it’s gotta be cool. OK Casey fans – sorry guys – that was not good. It started off key and he never found one. He seemed like he struggled with the song the whole time. I know this type of music is not his groove (again, I don’t want to get started on the ‘theme’ thing) but even with that being said – nope, not good. And as much as it hurts me to agree with Kara – he did sound like a lamb – works for Stevie – with Casey – not so much.

Crystal ‘Summer Wind’ – Whoa – she had on a long black strapless gown, had her hair up – she actually looked pretty. I have never heard this song before in my life but I really liked it. She really does have so many sides to her and she can pull everyone of them off. The judges kinda reamed her – leave her alone – ya’ll picked the theme – she didn’t! I though she did good considering what she was handed.

Mike ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ – Black coat, white shirt, black tie, black pants, Will these people on this show EVER get past this look. That hat! I wanted to yank it off his head and throw it all the way out the back door and tell him to go get it! Talk about a pimp daddy wannabe! This guy gets on my nerves when he talks. He sounded like he always does – no variation from song to song to song to song. Personal Trainer? I’m surprised he don’t sing with a mic in one hand and a big ole ham bone in the other. The judges of course raved over him. I just hope he isn’t waiting on me to purchase his CD in order for him to make his house payment – if so, better put it on the market son.

Lee ‘That’s Life’ – Black coat, white shirt, black tie, black pants – He’s worn it before and even on him I’m getting tired of it. These people should keep a spreadsheet like I do – put what you wear in the spreadsheet – refer back to it before you get dressed – that way NO REPEAT OUTFITS! However – that was the way to close the show! He did awesome on that song. Vocals were awesome. Perfect song choice and that totally was the best performance of this night! Way to go man!

Another theme week down. Think it’s gonna be Aaron or Casey tonight because the Mike fans ain’t gonna let him go. We’ll see – Hope its Mike though.

Here’s something VERY IMPORTANT that ya’ll need to know . . . . . Iron Man 2 – opens Friday in a theater near you! Can’t wait!

We’ll see what happens tonight.

We now have the top 5 - 04/28/10

Ryan – Hardly worth insulting anymore – but I’m going to anyway. Wear something different you dork!

Rascal Flats - I have seen these guys in concert several times and I have never heard them sound flat before (no pun intended) but they sounded awful on that show last night. It’s got to be the sound system or something. Glad Gary cut his hair – bout time! – He was startin to look like a wheat field.

The Ford Vampire commercial – Love it! – I want those contacts! Sweet!

The new Shrek movie will be out in 3D soon – CANNOT WAIT! – I love Shrek - he rocks! Also – the new Iron Man 2 hits May 7th – I’ll be one of the first ones in line! Gotta see that one too! How old am I? Mentally it changes from day to day . . . .

OK – Down to business – The ‘Man With No Originality’ (aka Ryan) – sets up three groups of 2 (Yep – that adds up to 6 – I did the math) – and it shakes out like this – Aaron & Crystal, Lee & Soybean, Casey & Mike. Wonder how much they pay the people to write this crap and I wonder if they call it the ‘Drama Department’?

Next week we got Sinatra hits – gimme a friggin break!

Sons of Sylvia – I have never seen or heard of this group before but I thought the song was a kicker. They all could just jump right into the Ford Vampire commercial though – no makeup required – and the lead singer kinda scared me - but I’m gonna Google these guys.

Lady Antebellum – OMG, Hillary Scott is so HOT! (wow, a poetic thyme) I mean she is just freakin smoking! I was hoping they would sing ‘American Honey’ but they went with the ‘Need You Now’ – which has been played completely into the ground – tired of it – yall can move on now. But they are awesome though. Doesn’t Charles Kelly remind you of Kenny Loggins – the good years?

Rascal Flats & Shakira – Yep – she still looks so fine. Now was that a weird combination or what? Sounded weird to. Gary just should have kept his mouth shut and just stood there and watched Shakira shake her hips cause when he chimed in it sounded soooo outta place. Not good.

After all the extra entertainment so that they could sell extra commercial time and make us sit through a hour show that should only be 30 minutes (remember when this show first started it was only 30 minutes on elimination day) – Mr. Bo Ring (aka Ryan) freakin sends that Mike back to safety. I got two words for that – ‘Damn it!’ (Believe me I wanted two more words here but there are ladies present) - Who the hell is voting for this boring individual? OK – I know I sound like a broke record here – whadevah, but AGAIN – the guy is nothing special. His voice is just like every other voice that is played on the radio today – you can tune to any station and hear his voice style all over the friggin place. I can’t stand him or his ugly azz sweater! I can’t wait till he’s gone. Still ticked off that the ‘judges’ saved him. He is sooo this years Scott Soval and he’s going to wind up being an American Idol one night stand just like Scott did. OK, I’m done now.

So that left Casey and Soybean in the bottom two. Real surprised that Casey is here after his performance cause the dude really did do the best that he has done in a long while – but he’s OK and it’s Soybean that’s taking her exit. I do not agree with this – she is gone to early – this should have been Mike or Aaron. Can’t figure out the Aaron fascination either. I felt sorry for her – kinda sad – so I’m gonna bestow a big ole ‘Bless yo heart’ on her and she will be just fine.

OK my peeps – another week down and we’re at our top 5; Crystal, Lee, Casey, Aaron and Mike (personal trainer, yeah right!). Notice the order I listed them in – reverse that and that SHOULD be the order as to who goes home and when.

Hope everybody has an awesome weekend. Headed back to the lake Saturday to work on the tan and continue my alcohol treatments.

Kuntry Night - Top 6 - 04/27/10

Oh boy! – Kuntry night! Now, just where did I leave my chaps and spurs? . . . . Oh yeah, I remember now! I’ll just buy new ones . . . . Long story!

Ryan – Yep – there it is again – that SAME black suit. I do hope he has that thing dry cleaned every week – if not, he gotta be stinkin by now. Pretty sad that with a 45 million dollar contract he only gets one suit. If that don’t show you how tough times are – I don’t know what does! 45 million sure don’t get ya what it use to! (OMG, to have that problem!)

OK – Shania Twain – she’s still HOT!

Lee – ‘You’re Still The One’ – Black jacket, White shirt, black tie, black tee, black pants – it works on him (I rock that look much better though!) – He did jam up with that. He definitely put his own spin on it and totally did his usual awesome Lee job. Good song choice for him - I mean come on – its Shania, all girl songs – not much to pick from here people! – So, damn fine job!

Side note – Did you notice that when the dork (aka, Ryan) and Lee were standing beside each other – they both had on black/white – it was kinda like – here’s the old version and here’s the updated version – I’ll let you guess which was which.

Mike – ‘It Only Hurts When I Breath’ – Black jacket, Black shirt, Black jeans – OK, OK, the jacket was kinda cool but that little bit of ‘bling’ was so ‘ordinary’. OMG! – ANOTHER slow song! That is ALL this guy can do! (Just FYI for you new comers, NOT a Mike fan and NOT a Ryan fan) - OK, gotta go here again – Personal Trainer!?! - Seriously!?! – He could train people to eat, maybe! He did his usual straight line performance. Still can’t get the comparison to Mike Tyson singing in Hangover (which by the way is the best movie in cinematic history!) outta my mind! I think next time they need to put a tiger on stage with him. He’s just boring to me and the attitude is starting to weigh as much as he does. OK – I’ll leave him alone – for now . . . .

Casey – ‘Don’t’ – He’s got on his usual print long sleeve unbuttoned shirt (if you’re gonna unbutton it that low – how about develop it a little first son) and jeans. BORING! However; that performance was not! This is by far the best performance this guy has done to date. Excellent song choice – guitar playin was awesome – just all around an awesome job. Casey is finally back up at bat!

Crystal - ‘Need To Know’ – Got on a plumb colored print frock wid a big ole brown belt and kickin cowboy boots - If I am not mistaken, which as we all know is a very rare instance, this is the first time we have seen her legs. So, Crystal does kuntry, her way. Ya know if Joplin had to sing this song – this is the way she would have done it. Did I absolutely love this rendition of it? No. Yeah, I agree that this was not her best performance but I mean come on – its kuntry! (Don’t EVEN get me started on the whole ‘theme’ thing – we’ll be here all day!) I agree with Kara, she made it believable and she still rocks! I love this chick!

Aaron – ‘You Got A Way’ – Cool jacket, Plaid shirt (SURPRISE! – NOT!) – And jeans. Like Casey – this is his staple outfit. The judges raved over this guys performance I thought it was good but not all dat! Another love song, another slow song, another plaid shirt . . . . Yada, Yada, Yada . . . . Yeah, the guy can sing but I’m still stuck on . . . . Next.

Soybean – ‘Any Man Of Mine’ – What the hell did she have on? I swear it looked like a Judy Jetson floral print on meth! Her hair needed just one more color in it – totally not enough! Gonna make this an easy one – it was all her! That was kinda weird for me - it was like Superman trying to do Underdog (which by the way I do have both of those costumes – and yes there are pictures – but not on Facebook!) – It was her normal good but I think she yelled the bigger notes – wish she would have controlled those more – it was like she was trying to hard. She was good though – but again – its kuntry and kuntry she ain’t. If she would come to some of the kuntry towns in SC dressed like that – well, let’s just say that there would definitely be some talking going on . . . . and to be quite honest - you'd probably never hear from her again . . . . there are some mean kuntry, back stick towns here . . . . I know - my cousins have relatives that live there . . . .

OK my fellow ART’ies. This is gonna be a close one. I’m going on the record here and saying that if Crystal gets voted off and that Mike (Personal Trainer, my azz!) stays – especially after those stupid judges used their only save on him – well, I will NOT be a happy mountain hiker!

I want Mike gone but at this stage of the game – who knows? Will we have another Daughtry upset? We'll see tonight . . . . . Where's my Xanax?

Peace out!

Finally get to 8! 04/14/10

Ryan – same ole – same ole – same ole – same ole . . . . ah, lets just go with old!

Elvis melody – Ah the fabulous world of lip synching!

Right into the first set of eliminations . . .

Casey, Aaron and Andrew are sent to the middle of the stage (Oh the nail biting drama!) Casey and Aaron are safe and its bye bye for Andrew. Janeen called that one.

Brook White and Justin Gastin duet – She looked pretty good – pretty damn good as a matter of fact – I don’t know why Cat Woman popped into my mind . . . . her hair was a little stiff though. Who the hell was the dude? Never heard of him before . . . . and don't care to hear him again! . . . . Was that an Elvis song? Sorry but Elvis was WAY before my time so I’m not too familiar with his music. Seriously! Despite what some people think – I did not take the first flight with the Wright Brothers!

Old Man brings the whole bottom row out on stage . . . .

Lee, Soybean, Katie, Michael (can’t stand to hear him talk!), Crystal, and Tim – I’m glad I took my ‘anxiety medication! – The suspense is . . . . Well, not doing a thing to me but I took my medication anyway! Crystal, Soybean, Lee are safe.

Left in the bottom is Katie, Michael and Tim.

Adam Lambert – ‘Whadda Ya Want From Me’ (OK – We’ve heard this song to freakin much now Adam – move on bud!) – Ever wonder just how much eye make up one dude can wear? Well, now you have your answer! But no matter how much eye makeup or the weird hair he can create – the dude is an amazing talent – I mean, come on – he has got one hell of a voice! He said he used lasers to do something a little bit different – after what he did on the awards show – lasers is a little bit different? Hmmmmmm – let me ponder on that for a sec.

After the endless breaks – Old Man sends Tim back to safety – I figured that one out. So between Michael and Katie – it’s bye bye for Katie. Bout time. I still wish it would have been Michael! (In case ya’ll haven’t caught on to it yet – Michael gets on my nerves!)

OK Peeps - that's it for this week - reminder (I think I told ya'll this) - I will be out of town next week so I'll watch it when I get back and let ya'll know what I thought . . . .

Ya'll have a great rest of the week and an outstanding weekend! Mine is going to be simply AMAZING!

Top 9- AGAIN! - 04/13/10

OK – I went back and watched last weeks show and it was a pretty darn good show. Are you ready for this – I actually listened to Katie’s ‘Let It Be’ – THREE times! It did turn out to be one of the better shows – let’s hope they keep it up . . . .

Ryan – the more I think about it – I think he’s just a robot.

Adam Lambert for a mentor – cool wid me – however, his hair does look like the Heat Myzer's . . . .

Crystal – ‘Saved’ – Cool vest/brown shirt – jeans – she looked good! It all worked for her! That was another outstanding performance by her! LOVED IT! – LOVED IT! AWESOME! – She’s so real. She does not need to be technically enhanced – she just opens her mouth and out comes the talent! Gonna be hard to top that tonight.

Andrew – ‘Hound Dog’ – Black jacket, white v-neck ‘t’ – jeans – it was OK – chain was cool though. That rendition was WAY to slow. You can’t take a song like that and slow it down and expect it to come off good. Agree with Randy – so not good – and yep, Simon got it right to – it was lazy.

Tim – ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ – Blue Henley (have that same shirt in black, white, purple, blue and green) and jeans. It worked for him. The performance was OK – a non blower but in Tim’s standards it was OK. He was better last week. Do I think he’ll go home – probably not.

Lee – ‘Little Less Conversation’ – black jacket, black shirt, and black jea s – all of it was cake. That was freakin awesome. Loved it and damn good. Again, love this guys voice. He’s totally in his zone and agree the vocal was fire. That to me topped Crystal.

Aaron – ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ – Awesome gray jacket, cool blue shirt, and jeans – dude looked better than he has in a while. That like Tim was OK. For Aaron’s standards that was OK. He was kinda like a kid doing a grown up song to me.

Soybean – ‘Suspicious Minds’ – Her hair was like a mini bee hive – However, the outfit she had on was the most normal thing she has ever worn. I actually liked what she had on. The shirt with the cuts in the back was cool and the skirt with the silver buckle buttons was sweet – even liked the shoes. The girl has got some pipes and she did OK on this – she could have done better though. Didn’t totally hate it.

Michael - 'In The Ghetto' - black leather jacket, black jeans, black shirt - didn't work for him. Gee - Another slow song - go figure! Ya'll know what I'm gonna say - send him and the song both to the ghetto! I am tired of this dude - done with him and his attitude and was totally boared with that song. The save was wasted!

Katie – ‘Baby What You Want Me To Do’ – Purple cute shirt, short black bolo jacket, black pants and a whole lotta chains around her waist. Whad-evah. She was much better last week – I got her last week – this week – not so much. She was back to her irritating ways this week.

Casey – ‘Lordy Miss Claudy’ – Back to his regular print shirt and jeans – BORING! And so was the song – He needs to get back in his zone cause he done took the off ramp. Totally agree with Randy – didn’t see or hear anything different – he’s becoming a flat line again – Step it back up son!

Would love to see Michael gone after they did the ridiculous save on him – and Aaron and Katie can head on out as well . . . .

We’ll see

Oh – I am back in Oklahoma City next week so you’ll get a combined report when I get back and watch next weeks show back on the DVR.

The Judges are obviously STONED!

Ryan – I say brotha’s and sista’s – pass the offering plate – Ryan need a new suit! He is such a dweeb!

Group Song – OK – If that was lip synced how many cuts did it take for it to sound like that? Only thing I liked about it was the way they were dressed – black/white – that was cool. They had totally no energy while ‘singing’ that.

First set of eliminations . . . .

And here we go with the group of threes again – my gawd people – think of something new!

Group 1 – Soybean, Crystal – Katie – from this group he sends Crystal to safety – then announces that they are all safe. Ah the drama!

They are going to be mentored by Adam Lambert next week – Interesting . . . .

Jason Derulo – In my head – Love this song – awesome bar song! But boy did he screw that up trying to do it live. Another example of a highly produced (thanks Kyle) individual

David A. – He’s back! He’s changing his looks – growin up a little – ‘Imagine’ - OMG! That was phenomenal as usual! This guy is still a true talent! He’s just freakin amazing!

Group 2 – Lee, Casey, Tim – These three are safe!

Group 3 – Michael, Aaron, Andrew - are the bottom three. – He immediately sends Aaron back to safety leaving Andrew and Michael.

Rhianna – She sang ‘I’m A Rock Star’ – No she ain’t. – nuff said. OH – except that she looked like Catwoman on crack.

To sing for his safety it’s MICHAEL! – AND THE STUPID IDIOTS SAVED HIM – That totally pisses me off! That was totally ridiculous and now I need two Xanyx and two more beers! – STUPID – STUPID – STUPID! Did you see the look on that 'personal trianer' (my azz) face when they saved him - Somebody hold me back! They used the save on him! A voice that EVERYBODY has - IDIOTS! Fire um ALL!

That sucked!

Elimination show 03/31/10

Ryan – I think I get it now – He’s going for his signature look - Hum Drum ole man suits . . . .

Clash of the Titans – I WILL see that movie sometime this weekend! RELEASE THE CRACKEN! (This sucka has been released on me already – not been a good week – last night ended with me backing into my neighbors mailbox – I can’t wait for the next exciting thing to happen to me!)

Ruben Studdard – Sweet black suit and crisp white shirt – Suit was awesome. Dude has lost a bunch of weight – good for him. New song – not so hot – lost interest about 30 seconds into it. OMG! – When they brought Michael out and put them together like that was suppose to be an impressive display . . . . Personal Trainer??!? – This show is getting sillier and sillier.

First set of eliminations . . . .

Lee – awesome leather jacket – safe

Casey – back to his usual wardrobe – safe

Aaron – Wow, he had plaid on – AGAIN – safe

Side note – When Simon said to Ryan that this was NOT the Oprah Winfrey show – I freakin rolled! LOVED IT. Ryan gets 45 million for this? – And all with one suit?

Soybean – I’m taking bets as to what’s she’s on – let me know if you want in on the action – safe

Katie – Bottom 3 – no surprise.

They got Lennon/McCartney songs next week – Another Beatles week – they did two in a row last year – enough already.

Usher – Got one question – When the hell did MC Hammer pants come back into style?!? That’s about all I noticed during that whole thing. It just amazes the hell out of me how these people can get paid the money that they get paid and unless they are ‘technically enhanced’ – they suck! Sorry all you Usher fans but that was a ridiculous display. This is entertainment? Well, if you like comedies. Did I mention that this show is getting sillier and sillier?

Second set of eliminations . . . .

Didi – She actually looked the best I have EVER seen her look – red cool shirt – black jeans – hair naturally flowing around her face . . . . Bottom 3.

Mike – safe – whad-evah!

Crystal – safe

Andrew – safe

Tim – Bottom 3

Got the three on stage together (Didi, Katie and Tim) and immediately sent Katie back to safety. OK – if you’re voting for Katie – please advise me as to where the talent is – I’m completely open . . . . It’s OK though – I have a volume control on my remote – I’ll be fine.

P Diddy – What was with the special warning ‘STROBE LIGHTING WILL BE USED IN THE NEXT PERFORMANCE’ – was that an indication that I needed to refill my bong and get the full effect? I wish I had – If I would have been high I probably would have been able to tolerate some of that, but very little – even being high. He asked America to turn the TV’s up – I turned my surround sound down. This is what music is coming to? Sorry people – but this is just sad and silly – did I mention silly earlier?

After P Diddy proved to America that he as well as Usher can make a complete fool of themselves – Ryan announced that Tim was safe (teeny boppers are doing their jobs evidently – I can just see them sitting in from of the TV crying their eyes out in agony at the prospect of him going home) and left Didi to sing for her survival. She picked Rhiannon – I was thinking – yeah – go with that one! Anywhooo – after an ear drama – the judges told her no – so she gotta go.

And there you have another week down – and we’re down to 9.

It may just be my mood (because I have really had one damn bad week – and it ain’t over yet!! - it's just one of those that no matter what you do or what you touch - it's gonna get screwed! - I gotta figure out how to get a custom mailbox fixed because all the mailboxes in the neighborhood are custom made and they all have to match so I just can’t go buy one!) But- this show is getting pretty ridiculous. Has it run its course?

Anyway – just my two cents . . . .

Soul/R&B 03/30/10

OK – We got Soul/R&B with Usher as the mentor . . . . I’m down wid dat.

Ryan – Charcoal pinstripe suit – blue shirt – gray tie – the grandfather wanna be strikes again! I saw this dude on Oprah and he had on the same damn thing! This dweeb has a 45 million dollar contract and can’t afford a new suit? WTH?

Oh – Did you see that sweet leather jacket that Usher had on – Black leather on the shoulders fading into gray leather – wide zip collar – that sucka will be mine! The search starts today! What is up with people wearing sunglasses inside? Even when he was ‘mentoring’ he told one of um – let me take my sunglasses off so you can look me in the eye. Excuse me – if I can’t look someone in the eye when I talk to um – I got nothing to say to um.

First up . . . .

Soybean – ‘Through The Fire’ – Thought it was funny when Usher asked her about her ’wardrobe’ and she said that people thought it was ‘shocking’ – Get out! Really?!? I just can’t understand that – especially when she had on a one shoulder white strap holding up a black sand paper lookin top, a diaper for a skirt and snow boots. How could that possibly be a shocker? Get real people – she looked like Pocahontas after a raid. Who the hell did her hair? A new stylist sniffin glue? To sum up – I didn’t particularly care for the outfit and I didn’t feel as if it was becoming to her (there – sound better). As far as her performance – she’s off her game. Bad song choice – didn’t show off her vocals – she yelled parts of it. She evidently thought she did good though cause she sho wasn’t excited with what the judges had to say. She need to go back to the tepee and smoke a little happy . . . .

Casey – ‘Hold On I’m Coming’ – Whoa – Casey switched up the wardrobe – not his usual pattern shirt and jeans – he adorned a black shirt jacket kinda thing with a red shirt underneath and jeans – did I love it? Nah – but at least it was a change so I’ll give the guy a break. Casey is back people! Bout damn time! That was sweet – you could tell he was having a blast and I had a blast right along with him. Agree with Simon that was his strongest performance yet. Home run Casey – that’ll bring you back up to bat next week.

Michael – ‘Ready For Love’ – Brown leather jacket, black t – jeans – boring – just like him. He picked another slow song – how safe. This guy just gets on my nerves. OK, here’s my deal with this guy. Do I think he can sing? – yes, he can sing – Did he do good on this song – yeah, he did good - the ‘issue’ I have with him (besides his attitude) is that the judges just rave over him and you can hear his type of voice on every freakin channel on the radio dial. He’s not that special! He can go anytime now – won’t miss him at all because – like I said – I hear that voice on the radio all the time.

Didi – ‘What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted’ – Whad up wid the 20’s flapper hairdo? Same stylist that did Soybeans hair musta did her’s too. All that gold sequined with the black chiffon on the bottom, Las Vegas dress was missing was the feather in her hair and the feather fan dancers forming a line in the background. OMG people – that performance was so bad I could smell it through my remote! Kara says she’s lost her way – Did she ever find it? – And quit with the freakin crying all the time! Zoloft does wonders! Didi who?

Tim – ‘Sweet Love’ – Black ‘nice’ suit jacket, white shirt, gray tie, jeans – smart look and it worked for him. However, the ‘scruffy’ look he was trying to achieve didn’t get pulled off so well – give it some time son. He didn’t do as bad as he normally does – it was ‘tolerable’ (I had taken my medication for the night at this point allowing the proper ‘kicking in’ time) – but like I said before – this dude has peaked and it appears it’s all down hill from here – but – he don’t give a rip – he’s having a blast. Who can blame the guy? He’s going on tour – he’s young – laugh it up bro – have the time of your life man – Go for it! Still say he just needs to go on over to A&F and do the modeling thing – singin ain’t his bag.

Andrew – ‘Forever’ – Weird green suit with this funny kinda purple/brown checked shirt – What the hell color was that? He looked like the sidewalk outside in the Vista after a bar closing – after you have had way to much to drink – and the sidewalk is moving – and you’re not – and when you finally make it home you have to sleep on the seat in your shower – fully clothed – because that’s the only place in the house that isn’t moving (Don’t even ask me how I know about this). Anyway, to sum up – judges loved the look (but consider the source and look at their wardrobe and there you have it) – but – Nah – that looked like crap. He actually did better than he’s done in a LONG while. He’s still boring to me but he did step it up this time and I actually listened to the whole thing and didn’t tune out half way through the middle. Much better!

Katie – ‘Chain of Fools’ – (Fool being the operative word here) – Here she goes again playin ‘dress up’ – Green spaghetti strap short combo with black (were those leggings? Couldn’t tell) pants? – and her mama’s shoes. That song was WAY over that poofy hair of hers! I’m surprised Aretha didn’t come through the airways and shake her finger at her and say ‘Child, Don’t you EVAH do dat again!’ accompanied with the head sway! Why she chose such a huge song beats the hell outta me. Once again, the judges – Except Simon - raved about an awful performance (I still say they are trying to convince us these people are good – ain’t workin!) – Agree with Mr. Simon – that was a Star Search performance.

Lee – ‘Treat Her Like A Lady’ – I LOVE this song – good ole Cornelius Brothers and Sista Rose! I wore that album out! Gray leather jacket, black tee, gray jeans – it was OK. I had such a hard time comparing his rendition to the original but after he got into it – I got over it. That was butter pecan ice cream people (I love butter pecan ice cream!) – great song choice – loved the vocals and loved the performance – Damn nice job.

Crystal – ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’ – She’s playing the piano this week – she can play the guitar, piano and harmonica – All I can play is . . . . well, never mind. Hair back down – looks much better up – red dress with black leggings – on her it worked. She did good on that – totally not as good as last week - that was a little ‘subdued’ to me. I just wanted more from her after hearing her do Joplin last week. She’ll be fine – she’s the most talented one this year and I like her more and more each week and I still want to hear what she’s going to do next.

Aaron – ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ – Can somebody PLEASE retire this song? I mean even Lee Majors took a crack at this one! He had on a blue leisure suit when he sang it. (As God is my witness – I NEVER owned a leisure suit – I knew that wouldn’t last past a sneeze!) – Black hooded jacket, plaid shirt (the boy loves him some plaid!) – Jeans and he’s got them sleeves rolled up again! Dude, LISTEN! These youngens! That was OK – no big woo. Just like an ‘OK, he’s done and another week down’.

Top for me – Lee, Crystal and Casey.

I'd love to see Katie be gone tonight but who know what some of these people are smokin when they vote . . . .

Top 10 announced - 03/24/10

Ryan – Didn’t he have that same suit on last night – and the night before – and the night before – and the night before – and the night before – and the night before . . . . .

Group song – ‘Jitterbug’ – Jitterbug? Really? – That was cheesier than a truckload of Velveeta!

Did ya’ll notice when Ryan opened the show he didn’t mention how many number of votes was received – ratings are definitely down . . . .

First set of eliminations –

Soybean – she talks – bust she makes no sense – anyway – safe

Lee – safe

Casey – safe

Tim – he’s worn that red v-neck tee before – remember – he wore it with them white pants! – Bottom 3 – no surprise here

Paige – Bottom 3 – yep – sure should be

They got R&B next week and Usher will be the mentor.

Miley – ‘When I Look At You’ – Didn’t watch it – left the room – can’t stand her. I did however walk back into the room right at the time she did the ‘hair flip’ – I threw up a little in my mouth. Did her mama NOT teach her how to stand up straight?!?

Second set of eliminations –

Aaron – safe

Didi - safe

Michael – gets on my nerve (yes, I only have one nerve) – safe

Crystal – safe

Andrew – safe

Katie – bottom 3

So – you got Paige, Tim and Katie in the bottom 3 and ‘Dull Boy’ sends Katie right back to safety leaving Tim and Paige.

‘Make a Wave’ – Joe Jonas and some chick that couldn’t sing – neither could Joe – just once again goes to show ya that most of these people can’t sing outside of technically enhanced studio. Don’t know why Joe cut his hair so short – but I tell what they coulda cut – THAT SONG! That was . . . . Let’s see . . . . What’s the word . . . .? Ah, hell . . . . . let’s just go with . . . . . BAD!

Between Paige and Tim – Time is safe leaving Paige to sing for her survival. However, she didn’t get the chance – Simon said it was unanimous that she should go home and basically told her that it was no need to sing again – good decision. Think I’ll post a Thank you email on the AI web site for that.

OK – ART members – another week down and we have our top 10 that will go on tour. Don’t think I’m going to be rushing to get a ticket to see that concert – Hell, I sing better than most of these people drunk off my azz in a karaoke bar on a Saturday night after I’ve had about 10 shots and slurring every syllable that comes outta my mouth . . . . .

Ya’ll have a great weekend! – I have an awesome weekend planned – Party starts here soon and lasts until bedtime Sunday! Haircut – done – manicure – done – Tan – done - wardrobe planned - done – beer in the fridge chillin – done – pills to prevent hangover – on the kitchen counter with a note to the bottle that reads – TAKE ME!

Peace!

Top 11 - 03/23/2010 (My Birthday!)

Good Morning my fellow ART’ies!

It’s Wacked Out Wednesday!

Gonna start off by saying that last night at dinner – dude comes up to me and ask me how many shirts I have ripped trying to get them over my arms . . . . And he didn’t even know it was my birthday! I’ll take it . . . .

We got Billboard number ones this week . . . .

Ryan – This dude even annoys me the way he walks down the stairs. Same black suit, same black tie, same white shirt – same dull Ryan.

Did you notice he asked twice why last night was so important and got the same answer twice – because only the top 10 go on tour – we get it Ryan – we’ve seen the show before – Did you fill up enough time asking that question twice – huh? Well did ya?

OK – we got Miley Cyrus as mentor – A freakin mentor?!? A mentor?!? Are you kiddin me – Did they run out of people in the mentor pool and she was all that was left? Let’s see just how far down hill we can go . . . . .

Lee – ‘The Letter’ - Black silk jacket, black jeans, white ‘t’ – I didn’t care for the ‘broach’ on the lapel – and the whole thing was so Andrew Dice Clay (OK – I stole that from Janeen – and she’s right – that is so dead on!). However, he did an awesome job on that. He seemed more confident on stage than he has in the past few weeks – still love this guy’s voice. Yep – great job!

Paige – ‘Against All Odds’ – White tunic kinda lookin thang – black skinny belt – black leggings – them black shoes were sweet though – it was nothing to write home about – unlike her performance – she needs to write home and say – ‘I’m on da way back home cause I sucked!’. That was just awful (as usual) – pitch all over the place. Totally blew chunks! Just how did she get this far? Just beat me with a tire iron – it would be less painful!

Tim - ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ – gray jacket – black/white sweater – jeans – would have worked better if he would have lost the jacket – didn’t go! The hair was rockin though. People, People, People – that was about as silly as it gets! The corny slide across the stage – the jumpin up and down like a ‘Esta Bunny’ on crack – vocals were awful. He peaked with ‘Halleluiah’. He’s done.

OK – so we are 41 minutes into the show and only 3 people have sung (well only one) – I think we need to blame idol as part of the bad economy!

Aaron – ‘I Don’t want To Miss A Thing’ – Black shirt jacket – black/white checked shirt – jeans – he kinda looked the best he has ever looked but totally screwed it up when he turned the sleeves up – don’t do that again! – ruined the whole thing! Judges liked it – I say it was way off. Still – not as bad as Paige – but way off. I coulda missed that.

Crystal – ‘Me & Bobby McGee’ – Now SHE totally looked the best she ever has – her hair was up – she had make up on – had on this black long dress with a cool belt – almost didn’t recognize her. I’ve always said she had a Joplin type voice and when I heard she was doing this I knew she would knock it outta the park and she TOTALLY did. That freakin ROCKED! She evidently knew it was my birthday and did that especially for me! Love this girl and cannot wait to see what she is going to do next!

Michael (I REFUSE to call him ‘Big %^&%’) ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’ – Black jacket – black vest (way to short for him) – white shirt – black jeans – he’s done this before – he needs to look up the word ‘variety’! That was a safe song choice for him and I still wasn’t ready to like him after that was over – Boring! I cannot get past his attitude. Judges kinda ripped him a new one on that – and they should have.

Andrew – ‘Heard It Through The Grapevine’ – Green kaki army type jacket – v-neck white ‘t’ – jeans – it was all to bland – BLAND being the keyword here. A stage performer he is not. Now I can see why he was reluctant to put the guitar down. He is way to stiff and it seemed to me like he talked most of that song instead of singing it. Not good and agree with Simon – he ‘sucked’ the soul right outta that song.

Katie – ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ – Black jacket – pea green shirt with a big ole peace sign on the front – Shirt would be cool with jeans. She did her usual – sharp and pitchy - didn’t suck as much as she has in the past but still bad. This girl just needs to go – just like Paige.

Casey – ‘The Power of Love’ – Hair down – better – cool gray shirt with black pattern – black jeans – it was – well, his usual. Sorry Casey fans – that was like the ride from Charleston to Columbia – long and boring. It just didn’t have any . . . . Well, anything really. Mr. Hill, There’s something wrong with Casey. Somebody needs to jump that spark back into this guy.

Didi – ‘You’re No Good’ – Black one shoulder dress – big belt – black boots – black hose – ‘whadevah!' – I grow tired of her one shoulder look. All of that was fake and unbelievable – it was like she had to just do something and get it over with. She was . . . . No good.

Soybean – ‘Superstition’ – Cyrus said her voice had swagger – I bet she had to look that word up. Was that a female Mohawk or a Sheena Easton impression? Black vest – white shirt – gray tight pants – it was unusual – go figure. The judges loved that – I think the whole thing was way to slow. The big note was good but that was about it for me. She’s done much better the last couple of times – this time – not so much.

Only ones I liked tonight was Crystal and Lee in that order – other than that the show pretty much blew!

OK – let’s vote – Is this the worst season ever?

Elimination show - 03/17/10

Ryan – Does he not own a mirror? Mr. Hill, there’s something wrong with Ryan!

Four minutes into the show before they actually start the show. Must we recap every single show? I mean come on!

David Cook – ‘Jumpin Jack Flash’ – Black suit, red shirt – cool! He did an awesome job with that song! That was custard baby!

Here we go . . . .

Paige – Bottom 3 – and should be there.

Lee – safe.

Soybean – safe.

Aaron – safe.

Andrew – safe.

Tim – Bottom 3.

‘According To You’ – I have no idea what the heck her name was (Where do they come up with these names!) but as far as I concerned it was Visa – cause she’s everywhere I wanna be! Well . . . . . until she finished singing and turned to the side – that be a lot of nose!

Didi – safe.

Crystal – safe.

Katie – safe – who’s voting for her?

Michael – safe.

Casey – safe.

Lacey – Bottom 3.

Bottom three - Paige, Tim and Lacey. Ryan does the usual and lets someone off the hook and it’s Tim – he’s safe for another week.

‘Blah Blah Blah’ – OK – she ba a Lady Ga Ga wanna be! I do love this song though – Excellent bar song!

Between Paige and Lacey – it’s Lacey who has to sing for her survival. They are doing the save thang again this year. She chose to sing ‘The Story’ which was her best performance all season. However – it didn’t come off as good this time and the judges decided not to save her – I wouldn’t have either. So bye bye Lacey.

Talk to ya’ll next week.

Top 12 - 03/16/10

Are we start off wid the top 12. Top 12?!? Seriously?!? – This is the top 12?!? . . . . hmmmmmm.

They get makeovers at the top 12 – we’ll see if they look better.

Ryan – Lather, Rinse, Repeat . . . . . Lather, Rinse, Repeat . . . . Lather, Rinse, Repeat . . . . Get the idea . . . .

Warning – I’m in a mood . . . . . tired of all this bad singin!

These two hour shows are starting to cut into my muscle growing time. Everybody knows your muscles grow when you sleep – I want to be put completely under for about a month and see if I can make some progress! The whole thing would not last near as long if it wasn’t for the DAMN commercials! I friggin HATE commercials! Remember back in the day when you could watch part of another show during a commercial break? Now the a-holes have timed it so that all the commercials are at the same time on every damn channel and they run MUCH longer! Have you noticed that?!? I say everybody boycott everything that is marketed through TV commercials! I can take just so much of this crap being jammed down my throat! I don’t give a rat’s azz if the broom falls in love with the rake! OK – I will step down off of my soap box now . . . . .

We have the Rolling Stones this week - Stone(d) being the keyword here. Has Keith Richards ever been clean? Just askin . . . .

Michael – (OK! – OK! – He and his wife had a baby! We’re HEARD IT! WE HEAR IT EVERY DAMN WEEK! Move the ‘F’ ON! – I am sick and tired of hearing their stories over and over and over and over and over and over . . . . . all the tears – all the sorrow – What is the Hallmark Channel?!? . . . . . Anywhoooo – ‘Miss You’ – Cool black shirt with the white stitching – got one just like it – if he were a true personal trainer it would fit him correctly. Mine fits me to a ‘t’. Black pants – big woooo. I didn’t care at all for this remake. Honestly – I’m glad he went first so he could do what he was gonna do and get off the stage – I just don’t like this guy. He bugs the hell outta me. He thinks he’s all dat and he so ain’t. Couldn’t do much of a makeover on dat – looked the same to me. In summary – I didn’t particularly enjoy that performance.

Didi – ‘Play with Fire’ – Black spaghetti strap shirt, jeans tucked into the boots (looks like it cuts her in half – she would look so much taller if she would not do that!) – Her hair looked like it was lacquered to her head – Yeah; they made her over all right – to look like a Friday night hooker special. Was she trying to be sexy or sultry? Neither one came across. She just can’t do those. She did her usual pushed, missed the mark performance. The high notes made me grab the remote and turn it down! I am just sooooo not feelin this chick.

Casey – ‘Its All Over Now’ – Love the black shirt with the red on the shoulders and across the chest – black pants - only have one problem with this – it’s the same outfit every week just in a different color. He needs to switch things up – this is getting old. His hair was way to big tonight – reminds me of the time they redid Bucky and he had the Jessica Simpson hair. OK didn’t hate this but didn’t love it either. It was his usual and his usual is starting to be . . . . Well, to usual. Dude needs to step it up and agree with Simon it wasn’t incredible.

Lacey – ‘Ruby Tuesday’ – Black/white stripped one shoulder shirt (here we go again) – looked like brown gauze wrapped around the middle of it (WTH?) – Black skirt - that top was just too weird – but I did like the high top black boots – SWEET! That sucked people! Judges say it was 50/50 – I say 95/5 – with 95 being the suck factor. She was so good last week and totally disappointed me this week. Goodbye Ruby? . . . . Goodbye Lacey! She looked the same – no big makeover on her – except the hair kinda resembled a crippled tree reaching toward heaven . . . . .

Andrew – ‘Give Me Shelter’ – Gray jacket, red shirt, jeans – all of it . . . . . wrong! I am so over this guy. He is as exciting as an empty bong! I was bored two seconds into it. He should have gone home last week – I would have rather heard Alex sing again instead of this guy. Yawn, Yawn, Yawn . . . . And has he never heard of contacts? Makeover – not much you can do wid it.

Katie – ‘Wild Horses’ – That dress was way to old for her – necklace – way to old for her – granny belt – dress made he look like a graffiti wall. Her mom actually ain’t bad though! That entire redo was a total miss. Randy said she sang that well?!? Now I know who stole my speed! That was pitchy all over the place. I said it before and I’ll say it again – these judges are just trying to convince us at home that these people have talent – I’m not convinced yet. That sucked . . . . . and so did the makeover!

Tim – ‘Under My Thumb’ – Black/gray tight Henley and jeans – shirt looked good on him – I however have a blue/black one just like it and I totally rock that shirt – fill it in like it should be. He needs to work on da chest. When I heard he was doing this song I said . . . . He gonna screw that up . . . . Well, he didn’t totally screw it but that was so the wrong song choice for him. He was so much better last week and I was hoping he’d stay the course. For him it was OK – Do I think he’ll be back – yep – tennies are gonna wanna look at him another week or so.

Siobhan – ‘Paint It Black’ - (I sooo want to call her Soybean! – I wondered where a name like that could possible come from and once I saw her parents – I understood. They are still high. Black strapless fluffy dress to match her newly fluffed hair - and them gawd awful boots. I didn’t care for this song choice for her – she totally pulled it off but I have liked her better the past couple of weeks but I mean come on – it’s the stones! Was she even alive when their music was popular? Anyway – I’ll give her a good job on that one and let it go. Didn’t care for her re-make – to fluffy.

Lee – ‘Beast of Burdon’ – Awesome gray leather jacket – I have it – it’s made by Guess – black crew ‘t’ – so should have been v-neck (Come on Lee!) – Jeans – it was all cool. This is one of my favorite stoned songs! He slowed it down a bit and I totally loved that. FINALLY somebody with some talent! Simon says he has no personality – the dude is just shy – Hell, I’m shy – just check out my facebook page and you’ll see how shy I am. I’m totally in introvert too! Dude is awesome and my fav on the show! AWESOME JOB!

Paige – ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ – Brown one piece short outfit – black leggings and brown boots – Who da hell made her over? Twiggy? OK – she ain’t gonna get no honky tonk man singin that way! I’ll give her a little leeway because she has been sick and had laryngitis – but I am being VERY lenient here! Nah – never mind – that wasn’t good . . . . turn da Paige!

Aaron – ‘Angie’ – Brown leather jacket, white printed ‘t’ – like the ‘t’ - still should have been v-neck – jeans – for his age – I’ll let him slide. They did a redo on him and gave him Ellen hair but on him the hair worked – on Ellen it doesn’t. This wasn’t to bad at all – this was a good song choice for him – didn’t over sing it – didn’t blow me away – but didn’t make me hurl either. I’ll give it a pass.

Crystal – ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ – Black shirt, black pants, black bling and believe it or not I was not mortified by her hair tonight. It looked cleaner and looked better pulled back like that. OK – I really like this girl and she did an awesome job as usual but she so gotta cheer up! She is extremely talented and I love her Joplin style. Come on Crystal – liven up there babe – you’re awesome!

OK – I have to say that while I was bitching about the zillion commercials – I have to admit that when Mr. Hill rubs the balloons in his hair to create the electrical shock to bring Scooter back to life. . . . . I ‘f-in’ laugh EVERYTIME! – I mean the look on that creatures face is so dam priceless – it’s like ‘WTF just happened – I was just sleepin dude?!?

My fav’s (and in this order) Lee, Crystal and Soybean.

As long as those three stay send home who the hell ever.

Totally rockin my new black Armani v-neck ‘t’ today - I just got in ‘a couple’ of things I ordered from the very talented designer! . . . . .

Catch ya’ll later,

Top 12 announced - 03/11/10

OK – got in late and missed the opening group song – damn Lexington traffic! Anywhooo – guessing it was just like the other ones – taped and lip synced so I’m guessing I didn’t miss much. I'll look at it later on the DVR.

Ryan – chauffer – missing his cap – nuff said.

Here we go . . . .

Didi – top 12

Siobion – top 12

Paige – top 12

Katelyn – eliminated – should have been reversed.

I can’t get why they make such a big deal over the top 12 – it’s the top 10 that get to go on tour – so why all the hype? Just sayin . . . .

Casey – top 12

Tim – top 12 – he stepped it up.

Lee – top 12 – DUH!

Todrick – eliminated – I’m good wid dat!

Scott McEntyre and Matt Guirard – WTF wuz up wid Matt’s hair! Was he tryin to do the Mohawk thing? What is it with all these Mohawks! Scott still reminds me of one of them wookies from Star Wars. They don’t need to be singin together . . . .

Question – why do they still say that they have a new album out? When’s the last time ya’ll seen an album?!?

Crystal – she looked so sad tonight – cheer up hunny – you be top 12 – DUH!

Michael – top 12 – whad – evah . . . .

Lacey – top 12 – after last night I kinda figured she would be.

Aaron – top 12

Andrew – top 12

Alex – eliminated – I think it should have been Andrew – I’m so bored with that guy. Sorry Jodi.

Katie – top 12 – WHAT!?!

Lily – eliminated – I soooo totally don’t agree with that one! She is much more talented than that brat Katie! Sorry Gordon.

I don’t get it people – but we got our top 12.

Its St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Time to get da drunk on! (Like I don’t do that pretty much every weekend but this weekend its green beer!) Already got the tight green t-shirt ironed!

Ya’ll have a great weekend!

Oh - they are doing The Rolling Stones next week . . . .

Top 8 guys - 03/10/10

Ryan – He’s like the movie of the month on cable – you can see the same thing on every friggin channel . . . . JUST LIKE THAT SUIT!

Lee – ‘Firefly’ – Green plaid shirt, black ‘t’ under – jeans – it was him – it was cool. When I heard he was singing this song I was like – Dude, WTH? I can only really enjoy that song when I’m high. However . . . . I liked his version better than the Owl City version! Love this guy’s voice – he totally made that work for him. Agree with Kara (first time I think!) – He took that song and made it better – I actually enjoyed that song and I wasn’t high! Great job from him – as usual!

Alex – ‘Trouble’ – Black jacket – white shirt left out – black skinny tie – grayish jeans – all of that was totally cool. This dude is getting better and starting to grow on me. That was totally better than the last couple of times and he’s starting to show us what he can do. Good song choice for him. Agree with Ellen – he’s getting better each week. Totally needs a different ‘do’ though.

Tim – ‘Hallelujah’ (thank God for spell check on that one!) – Black shirt – jeans – a total staple but did like the black shirt – would look better on me. Whoa! Why the hell ain’t he been doing that good all along? That was a total shocker for me. He actually did a jam up job on that song especially when you compare it to the last performances. Totally a perfect song choice for him – fit his voice. Damn good job!

Andrew – ‘Genie in a Bottle’ – A&F type sweater – hated it! – White v-neck ‘t’ – jeans and still accessorizing with the Buddy Holly glasses. I would have thought they would have changed them by now but I don’t think they do a make over on them until they get to the top 12 – must be a perk or something. I did not care for his rendition of this song. Totally didn’t feel it at all. I’m getting bored with this guy. That totally didn’t work for him and totally agree with Simon – he’s going backwards.

Casey – ‘You’ll think of me’ – Real cool white shirt with the pattern on the shoulders – I have one or two like that (OK, probably about 40) – jeans – it was all cool. Hair – looked like a rats nest. OK Casey fans – that was so totally what-evah . . . . He has done much better in the past and that was yawns-ville for me. Didn’t totally hate it but it was just uneventful and unexciting. He’ll totally be in the top 12 – he just kinda bored me this week.

Aaron – ‘I’m Already There’ – Gray plaid shirt – white crew neck under (crew neck – seriously? – pay attention son!) – Jeans – it looked OK. He started of really bad on that for me but made up for it in the middle and the end. For him to be 16, he did a good job on that. I’m just not feelin his vibe though. He’s kinda like that relative that you can only take so much of – then you’re done.

Todrick – ‘Find Me Somebody to Love’ – OK – Totally loved the black shoulder zipper jacket. I want that – but hated them jeans tucked into them boots – get over that already man – he’s done that way to many times! Ya’ll sitting down? I actually thought he did pretty good on that – He didn’t make my skin crawl this time. Still not one of my fav’s but I’ll give the dude credit for that one. Good job.

Mike - ‘This Woman’s’ World’ - Yep – gotta say it! Personal Trainer?!? – Seriously?!? – You’ll hear again next week if he’s still there. Black jacket, black vest, white shirt, black tie – jeans – that didn’t work for him. He’s another one of these that as long as I don’t have to look at him I like the way he sings – just can’t look at him – ya know like Clay Aiken. That last note was freakin awesome though. He did do a great job on that one but still not likin him to much.

Kara is getting sillier and sillier each week! Crying after Mikes performance – What is she 16? Gimme a break already! What’s she gonna do next – faint?!?

I didn’t absolutely hate anybody tonight. The ‘judges’ can say that the girls are stronger than the guys but . . . . . Guess again Skippy . . . . The guys totally outshine the girls at this point.

Not sure who’s gonna go tonight for the guy’s – the ones that have been lagging stepped it up this week so as long as Lee stays – I’m good.

Talk to ya’ll tomorrow,

Top 8 girls - 03/09/10

Ryan – ya know – he is just like himpes (that’s what guys get – girls get herpes – OK, that’s funnier when you’re drinkin!) – He just keeps coming back . . . . . wearing the same suit . . . . .

Katie – ‘Break Away’ – Hair straight – ho hum - cool gray jacket though – black shirt, black patterned pants – that would look cool on somebody else – looked like she was playin dress up. I don’t think it’s such a good idea for these people to be doing idol winners songs – especially when you can’t sing. Does she even have a key? That was sooooo not entertaining. She need to go . . . .

Siobhan – ‘House of the Rising Sun’ – What is it with flowers in the head? Black kinda Chinese lookin jacket over a red dress – it was her. OK – she totally nailed that! She’s starting to grow on me – I just can’t look at her sing and cringe when she speaks – She is one spaced out mama but she sho can blo!

Lacy – ‘The Story’ – Leopard print jacket, pinkish shirt, black pants and pinkish shoes – and baby – that lime green nail polish was da bomb! (That was total sarcasm). Now this one was a surprise to me – this is the best she has done since she has been in this competition – totally her type of song – good song choice – she had great vocals on this one – She need to stay on dis road!

Katelyn – ‘I Feel the Earth Move’ – Hair back down and lookin like she just got outta bed – LOVE IT! – Beige jumper – purple long sleeve shirt – blah – but the hair made up for everything else! Boots were kinda cool. When I heard she was doin Carol King – first thought in my head was ‘She gonna screw this up’ – and I was correct. That so did not work for her. She put nothing into it – She took a great song and made it boring – pardon the pun – didn’t feel the earth move . . . . .

Didi – ‘Rhiannon’ - Orange one shoulder dress (she likes them one shoulder things don’t she! – Explain this to me – those one shoulder things cost just as much, or more, than a complete shirt – why not get the whole thing? And – doesn’t that one shoulder get cold?) big ole black belt – black boots – she looked like a pumpkin. Here we go . . . . She took that and tried to make it her own but as far as I concerned – she can keep it! The judges totally loved it – I reckon I am such a huge Stevie/Fleetwood Mac fan that I don’t want anybody messin up such great music – it’s like putting a mustache on da Mona Lisa. Judges loved it – I didn’t.

Paige – ‘Smile’ – Black Christmas lookin jacket – gold shirt – black skirt (way to little for her!) – Black hose – it all looked to Holiday-ish. That was painful people! Total piano bar performance. Flat. So didn’t make me smile – well, I did when it was over. She need to go too!

Crystal – ‘Give Me One Reason’ – Black pleated long shirt – brown belt – black pants – black boots – again, it was her. I just wish they’d do something with that hair! It just looks so damn dirty. Anywhoooo – that was DOPE! Totally the best performance of the night! I really like this girl – she knows who she is – she knows where she wants to go – she knows what she can do – Love her!

Lily – ‘I Fall to Pieces’ – Get this – Liz actually turned to me and said . . . . ‘I like her hair’ – to which I make this simple inquiry . . . . ‘WTF?’ – Still reminds me of baby doll hair. That 70’s jean patchwork dress was taken straight outta the Brady Bunch archives! I know the 70’s stuff has been back but this is taking it just a little too far – I mean Alex has Carol’s hair and Lily has Carol’s wardrobe. What’s next – the Leisure suit?!? I mean did ya see the earrings? Crocheted earrings – Seriously! Loved her last week – didn’t get her this week – didn’t totally hate it – didn’t love it either – a total ‘garden salad with no dressing’ thang fer me – I’ll eat it – but I won’t enjoy it . . . . .

Fav’s of the night – Crystal and Siobhan – want to go home – Paige and Katie.

We’re closer to the top 12 people! Guys tonight.

It’s Wacky Wednesday! I did legs early this morning – hate leg day but always feel on top of the world when I get finished!

Later!

Two Girls – Two Guys go home . . . .

Group Song – ‘I Got A Feelin’ – Again – they all look better on the night that some of them are going home – they so needed to reverse them outfits! Still want to take that freakin flower off of Haley’s head! Like last week they sound good when they record it first and lip sync it back – it’s amazing how technology can make you sound so much better than you actually are. Wish technology could make me taller!

Top 10 girls - 03/04/10

Ryan – Black suit, white shirt, black tie. Back to his Men In Black attire – or undertaker – take your pick.

Crystal – ‘As Long As I Can See The Light’ – Purple shirt – Black knit jacket kinda thing – black jeans tucked in da boots (Gawd, I HATE that!) – Anyway – it was her. That was freakin awesome – she totally rocked that! Loved it – Hope she stays in this groove. Going with an . . . . . Awesome!

Haley – ‘The Climb’ – There’s that big ole freakin flower again! She musta kept it in a vase and watered since last week – thought it would be dead by now – Black top, black/white printed skirt – none if it worked. – That was AWFUL! Made me want to climb on top of a mountain and jump off! Poor widdle Rusty covered his ears! OK final judgment on that one . . . . . TOTALLY SUCKED!

Lacy – ‘Kiss Me’ – I don’t mind funky dressing as long as it’s done right but where the hell did she get that shirt from – it looked like the kitchen curtains from a 1960’s trailer! Jeans were tight – I’m OK with that. Her hair looked like she just came outta the chicken coop after layin a dozen eggs. OK – that was not good people. Not as bad as Haley but not good. Givin that one just a . . . . SUCKED!

Katie – ‘Put Your Records On’ – Multi colored shirt – black leggings – them shoes were – interesting. I did like her hair. Could she pick a key and stick with it please? Best thing about that is when it ended! Pitchy all over the place! Givin that one the same as above . . . . . SUCKED!

Am I being to critical? – Do I need to make an additional appointment with my therapist – I think I’ll do that just as soon as she gets out of therapy.

Didi – ‘Lean On Me’ – Is she a Jessica Simpson wanna be or what? Kinda rust colored long ¾ sleeve shirt – huge black belt – and the jeans tucked into the boots (I think I mentioned above that I don’t particularly care for that look) – I did however like the CFM boots. Her voice is so not for this song. She tried to pull that off – she tried – but it was a no go. OK I am totally stuck on . . . . SUCKED!

Michelle – ‘Arms Wide Open’ – Liked the black bolero jacket – After I looked back at it again – I have mixed feelings on the shirt – (Per Chris, it looked like a diaper – That’s my boy!) - I think it looked like the top half of a wedding dress – black leggings - but now the gloves were kickin! I was disappointed in her tonight. I liked her much better last week. Bad song choice – totally not her genre – I can understand her trying to ‘step it up’ or whad evah – but nah, that type of song does not fit her voice. I’m being lenient with her – giving that one an . . . . . . OK.

Lily – ‘Have no clue – missed the name of the song – bathroom break’ – That hair is just awful! Is she trying to do the Courtney thang? Hate it! The dress looked like a Ross sale rack item – Boots were OK – (Gordon, hope you’re sitting down!) I actually liked that one! Song fit her – it was her style – I got her tonight – let’s see if she can keep it up . . . . . Giving that one a . . . . . Good job!

Kaitlin – ‘The Scientist’ - She had her hair up and it made her look totally different – she needs to keep it down. Big ole gold earrings – white one shoulder shirt – liked it – even though it was one shoulder – big ole gold skirt that made her look to hippy – and she ain’t hippy. That was to slow for her – to long and drawn out. I was bored. It’ll probably keep her in another week. Giving that one a . . . . . YAWN.

Paige ‘Walk Away’ Big ole green earrings – multi shirt – black vest – black pants – black boots – big whoooo. They say she has one of the best voices? What the hell are they hearing? Didn’t like it. Going with a . . . . . FORGETTABLE.

Siobion ‘Think’ – I could NOT put my finger on it but Chris pointed it out for me – She’s Punky Brewster! – A real spaced out Punky Brewster! Weird little blue frock with a polka dot top – just weird – it fit her personality anyway. She totally needs to lose the nose accessory! I gotta give it to her though – She totally pulled that off – that last big note was right on! She shocked me on that one. She’s gonna be one of those that as long as you don’t have to look at her sing – she’s good. But she is one spaced out chick! Givin that one . . . . . SWEET!

Still think the guys are better than the girls at this point.

We’ll see who gets the boot tonight . . . .

Top 10 Guys - 03/02/10

OK boys and girls – let’s see if the puppy is gonna play fetch . . . .

Ryan – black suit, blue shirt, black tie . . . drab, drab, drab . . . . Somebody wake me up when he gets some style.

Michael – ‘This is a Mans World’ – Personal Trainer?!? . . . . Really?!? . . . . Seriously?!? . . . . Yeah, I know I’ve said that time after time – guess what, you’ll hear it again! I don’t care if he can bench 505 . . . . Don’t mean a thing to me – guess it’s just what you’re into. I’d rather be cut – I get told all the time that I need a band aide – cause I’m so cut. Anyhoooo . . . . All black with a little bling. Seen it – over it. OK, that actually wasn’t bad at all. It was much better than the Mike Tyson impression last week. He needs to stick with the R&B, it’s his groove. Good song choice for him and I’ll give it a good ole . . . . . OK.

John Park – ‘Gravity’ – White v neck ‘t’ – jeans – not a lot of planning there was it? He needs to pick up a weight to fill in them sleeves. That was boring . . . . yawn . . . .yawn . . . . Yeah like Michael – better than last week but still flat . . . . What was his name again? . . . . What did he sing?

Casey James – ‘I Don’t Wanna Be’ – Black shiny shirt – liked it, jeans – a staple but it worked partly because it wasn’t form fitting so you couldn’t tell he had no form. Shirt would look a lot better on me. Casey, my bud, a rocker you ain’t. You don’t wanna be dat! Take another swing Casey – you missed that one.

Alex Lambert – ‘Everybody Knows’ – That jacket (black plaid) goes just perfect with Carol’s hair don’t ya think? – Blue shirt, white v neck ‘t’ and gray jeans – to much goin on there. Another improver. I didn’t totally cringe at that so I’m giving that one a . . . . . insert shoulder shrug here . . . .

Todrick Hall – ‘What’s Love Got to Do With it’ – Pewter shiny, shiny jacket (now that’s a lot of shiny ugly!) black shirt, black tie, black pants . . . . Can we move on please? He needs to do more than a few push ups before he goes on stage to make them pecs look bigger. Good Gawd! – He doin Tina! She needs to bitch slap him! That last note was horrendous just like the whole friggin thing! That was totally bad! He may exit the competition now . . . .

Jermaine Sellers – ‘What’s Going On?’ – OMG! I totally agree with Renee – it’s Pee Wee Herman! – and with a fake Mohawk – pink bow tie, black polka dot shirt, white sweater, jeans – Where was his bike? He needs to find that bike – get on it – and wave bye-bye to everybody and ring his little bell as he rides off into the sunset! Hopefully he ain’t going on! Like the two dudes on In Living Color . . . . . Hated it!

Andrew Garcia – ‘You Give Me Something’ – Gray jacket, Black v neck ‘t’ – black scarf, jeans – Pardon my nap. Still hating them glasses. Come on Armani – throw the dude some specs like you did for Danny – He needs help! I had high hopes for this guy but he’s just not cutting it. He had potential at the beginning but I don’t see it anymore . . . . He’s boring me . . . . next please.

Aaron Kelly – ‘My Girl’ – Black shirt, jeans – to safe. His voice cracked a lot on that one or was it me? Again – Better than last week – song was too old fashioned for him – didn’t totally hate it but . . . . Big whooo

Tim Urban – ‘Get Higher’ – Red v neck ‘t’ and white pants – (crew necks are so totally over – and good riddance) – OK – he looked the part but there he went again and opened his mouth. He did make some small improvement over last time but still not good there Tim-bo! Agree with Ellen, he needs to go do those Hallmark Channel movies. Will the teeny boppers keep him in another week? . . . . probably.

Lee Dewyze – ‘Lips of An Angel’ – Blue ‘t’ – should have been v-neck (Lee, dude! – pay attention!) – jeans were cool but obviously to big for him because he pulled them up at least two times while he was singing – How classy! Despite his wardrobe problems – I totally liked that one! I really like this guy’s voice and in my opinion this was the best performance of the night. Agree with Kara – he has a commercial voice and I think he’s just gonna get better and better.

Okie Doke – Was this an improvement over last weeks show? – yeah – by a lot? No – but it was more tolerable. Let’s hope the girls have improved since last week. Only one I really liked tonight was Lee, Michael second and don’t really have a third.

Catch ya’ll tomorrow . . . . .
